Janet analyzes the canter work, and tasks Debbie with increasing the carrying in the trot with the first horse and the canter with the second horse. Debbie has the first rider start at the walk, rocking her horse back and then leaving him alone. In the trot she works towards a medium on a circle, half halting and then leaving him alone. They add the shoulder in on the long side, always going more forward. She next has her ride a circle and think more bounce in the trot. They also get the walk to have more self carriage.
As Debbie works with the second rider, they make sure that he is immediately responsive to the up cue, and that the rider brings him back and tickles him to get more self carriage. They increase the collection before the pirouette and also within just the canter, helping him carry himself.
